And Redbuds are a favorite of mine. The blossom color is lovely, and those leaves! We have a lot of Redbud trees here in Memphis.Divers and Sundryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01759655568104782267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3284434809316161095.post-31595782574841723542018-06-01T20:12:22.824-04:002018-06-01T20:12:22.824-04:00I have heard the Redbud called a Judas Tree also. ...I have heard the Redbud called a Judas Tree also. Did not know it could come in white so maybe an English Judas Tree is not the same as a Canadian one.Patio Postcardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04491809927236242223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3284434809316161095.post-43405846214963229882018-05-27T04:28:30.311-04:002018-05-27T04:28:30.311-04:00Beautiful blossoms. My mum has one but was disappointed when it turned out to be white.Maggiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06013731736768963395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3284434809316161095.post-55311582437791178592018-05-25T05:53:57.401-04:002018-05-25T05:53:57.401-04:00I think I've seen a Korean pear tree, I must a...I think I've seen a Korean pear tree, I must ask to confirm, but yes it's quite pretty, loads of flowers. I am basking in spring's flowers as the winter is still a close memory.Patio Postcardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04491809927236242223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3284434809316161095.post-6087241641780043562018-05-24T07:45:39.871-04:002018-05-24T07:45:39.871-04:00We had a redbud which I loved, but it had to be mo...We had a redbud which I loved, but it had to be moved when we redid the kitchen and added a bay window. Then we bought a Korean pear tree which was my favorite (ever!) tree. It had beautiful flowers and was a favorite of the birds, as well. Sadly, it got a fungal disease and had to be taken down. I could see it from the kitchen and my craft room, and I still miss it. Now we have a small hydrangea tree, but it's more a tall plant than a tree. I do love the spring blooming trees. They are such a pleasure after all our long months of gray and brown! I think in our area I have seen on 2 redbuds & in Guelph maybe 3. I'm not sure how tender a tree it is & in summer the leaves are ordinary (but can any tree really be ordinary?). =^..^=<br />Patio Postcardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04491809927236242223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3284434809316161095.post-5197343825332503322018-05-24T06:58:34.043-04:002018-05-24T06:58:34.043-04:00There are some blooming trees in our neighbourhood...There are some blooming trees in our neighbourhood as well. I love the crabapple trees right now, but don't like them at all when the fruit is falling. Redbuds are gorgeous, but rare in our zone. -Jenncoffeeontheporchwithmehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17618627688821849806noreply@blogger.com
