These are some of my first finds for the Rinda 2015 Summer Photo Scavenger Hunt http://gallorganico.blogspot.co.uk/
#1 A Bouquet of Flowers - our wedding anniversary roses
#2 An Ornate Door Knocker
#6 Metal Bridge - I found three different ones, all going over the same river but in different villages and towns.
Happy anniversary! Lovely that you got to photograph your beautiful roses for the hunt. Treat to self, or sent by friends? That's a great door knocker. Biding my time on that one but I'll have to look hard to better yours!
ReplyDeleteFlowers from Mr Man. The door knocker was on the garden gate (back entrance) of a store devoted to door knockers of every size, shape, style & material. We wandered around the store about 45 minutes, although no purchases were made. I have early on snapped a few photos and put into the bank in case I can't find better examples later in the hunt.
DeleteFlowers=lucky you!
DeleteI have tracked down a good door-knocker; recommended by a colleague last week but I only found it yesterday and it turned out to be similar to yours. Love at first sight! After not being immediately inspired by the list, I am now seeing potential submissions everywhere. Like you, I'm banking now and deciding later.
Happy Anniversary! I hope the bouquet smelt lovely. :) A shop devoted to door knockers sounds incredible.
ReplyDeleteHello Mary-Lou, and thank-you for popping over and visiting me :). I'm very pleased to meet you, and am admiring these wonderful bridges. Metal ones are not at all common where I live - I am reminded of The Bridges of Madison County!
ReplyDeleteAlexa thank you for taking the time to read through some of my rambles. This part of Ontario has lots of rivers so lots of bridges. There are a few covered wooden bridges left; why there is even a self directed tour called The Kissing Bridge Tour within our region. Cyclist love it. Umm I must catch on "film".
