Thank you Eileen. I made them both through a Christmas ceramics course. The pieces are created in a raw clay form from a mould, then I carefully clean off lines,marks or lumps,then they are fired; Father Christmas was then painted in different colours, the face was difficult & then a final firing; Santa & Baby Jesus were fired the first time, then I stained & sealed, no additional firings were needed. I've made a few other pieces, which I'll show later.
Thanks Sian. The face was hard for me, I don't have a steady hand, so my instructor was close at hand giving suggestions (orders). I stayed away from faces - you'll see in my next grouping.
