Rain would be Fort McMurray's friend
I originally had a totally different photo & caption
for today, but the devastation happening in Fort McMurray Alberta where
over 88,000 persons have been evacuated from their homes is first &
foremost in our news & our prayers. Most of the 88,000 have lost
everything as the wildfires are moving so quickly, many had less than a
20 minute warning to leave immediately. These fires have been burning
since Sunday. Please keep these folks in your thoughts & prayers.
How devastating. Stopped and said a prayer for all those affected.
ReplyDeleteThank you Susanne. The fires are not abating at all & the evacuation zone has been increased.
DeleteI have been eading about this today, my thoughts and prayers are with the people of Fort McMurray. Thank you for this Mary-Lou. x
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Miriam. Angers me to think that this was human caused.
DeleteIt's so shocking, so frightening..
ReplyDeleteSome of the videos of the people fleeting is incredible & very frightening.
DeleteI've been hearing about this and pricking up my ears as always when Canada is mentioned. Very sad. My heart goes out to those affected.
ReplyDeleteSO sad that these fires are still not under control & the weather out there is so hot & dry. They really need the rain (without lightening). I worry about all the wildlife & domestic pets, which I am sure some of been left behind.
DeleteThe photographs just get worse and worse! It's a major story here, and they are all in my prayers. I can't imagine.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your prayers. I cannot not even imagine living through something like this.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much Jane for your prayers. Rain without lightening & the area is SO dry, they need several days of heavy rain.
DeleteI have seen this on the news over here. How devastating for them and yes we will all pray for rain.
ReplyDeleteThank you Maggie. It feels odd to be praying for rain when most of the time we hope it holds off.
DeleteOh yes - Squirrels - oh so naughty I am thankful none (so far) nest in my yard, so no babies!
