In memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, who died on this date, 25 years ago.
"Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you."

Twenty five years - my goodness. Yet I can still remember that day so well. What a lovely quote too.
ReplyDeleteI've heard that quote before but didn't realize it was hers.
ReplyDeleteWords to live by ... hard to believe it has been 25 years.
ReplyDeleteAh, such a tragedy.
ReplyDeleteAlways a good practice!
ReplyDeleteOh look once again I can comment ... but for how long?! Someone did a random act of kindness for me on Wednesday: I was driving along a wide, straight country road and an oncoming lorry flashed his headlights at me. I wondered what was wrong with my car. Everything seemed to be in order. I slowed down, disconcerted, and he flashed again as we passed, and waved. I smiled back, wondering if I had understood him correctly. Sure enough, a short way ahead was a police speed trap - three patrol cars and two officers brandishing radar guns. I was doing 29 in a 30mph limit. I had been doing 32mph and might even have floated up to 35 had I not been warned. As for the car behind me, it was definitely going way too fast as it caught up with me really quickly. I was so grateful! I'm not a habitual speeder but it's easy to get caught out and a fine/penalty would not have made for a good day!
