Chris I get from this quote, that our calling in life is just for us & not for others to understand. I actually was surprised to see this post come up as I thought I had deleted all my future Wisdom posts. It was kind of a gift to me :)
I think what the author of this quote is saying, that our callings in life (including careers) come from a higher power than us & they are meant for us only, so if someone doesn't understand Your Calling, that's OK, it's Yours, not theirs. Hope that helps.
That required some deep thinking but I hope I got the idea!

DeleteMy theology book group once had a very interesting conversation about the idea of "call." I do believe in them!
