Today is the 4th & final link in for the 2024 SPSH, hosted by; This West London Life - 2024 SPSH
For this final link in, these are my finds:
#1 Family Pet or Cute Animal; of course it would be one of my chipmunks. They definitely make me happy to see them about my garden. Right now they are busy gathering as many peanuts as I feed for their long winter snooze.
#12 A Place of Worship; the beginning of June I switched churches, this is my previous church.
#15 Something You've Repurposed; A friend gave me this years ago, it's for your dresser or table to put jewelry into the little cup. I use on the patio to hold bird seed or peanuts.
Alternate A: Something misspelt or grammatically incorrect; I found this recipe years ago in a magazine - the recipe & photo are for a chicken crescent ring, the ingredient list is for the chicken ring, but the instructions talk about adding pudding, bananas, coconut & whipping cream to the shell. I've kept because it makes me chuckle.
Alternate B: Stamping; a card that I made for a friend's upcoming birthday.
And that is a wrap for the 2024 SPSH - thank you Ruth for hosting the search.
Great finds! I think I will pass on that chicken wreath with pudding and additional bananas, etc.! :o
ReplyDeleteThank you Bless. And what surprised me about the recipe is that the magazine never published a correction.
DeleteThat recipe is so funny! I knew the chipmunks would make it into the Final Cut 😊
ReplyDeleteI tried for my fur girls, but they have been camera shy of late. My chipmunks always make me smile.
DeleteMaybe I am speaking personally, but it always strikes me that we like chipmunks but not squirrels. Maybe it is just me as I have had some personal issues with the latter. 🙂🙁
ReplyDeleteI agree, like the chippies, but not the squirrels & this year we have an over abundance of black squirrels, a few greys & one very annoyed red. The chipmunks are not as destructive, maybe they dig a little in the pots but squirrels rip into buildings, garden sheds, roof singles, etc etc.
DeleteChipmunks are always welcome! :) Your old church is so pretty and great repurposing of the cat trinket. Thanks so much for joining in this year!
ReplyDeletePS: Have emailed you recently, have you received it?
Thank you for organizing. There are elements I miss about my old church & the building is one of those things. I'll check my spam folder.
DeleteThis is fun! I seem to find spelling errors everywhere I go.
ReplyDeleteHaHa Jenn, spelling & grammar errors are everywhere. I do not like some of the words reduced to just letters & the, they are, there & their along with your, you're are plentiful. As a teacher I'm sure it drives you crazy.
DeleteI love how you repurposed that dish. Might bring more chipmunks to your yard:) Such a cute little one in your photo! I think your church (previous church) is just lovely!! Hope you have a wonderful October ahead!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jennifer. The cat dish actually scares the bluejays, so they won't take peanuts from it. My previous church is just as lovely & traditional inside - it's a gem. I am looking forward to October - we celebrate Thanksgiving & that is one of my favourite holidays.
DeleteCute chipmunk and a great capture! The recipe mix-up made me laugh - how would you like to be the editor realizing that it went to print that way? Oh no!!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteThank you Kym. Our chipmunks are quite tame & some are brave enough to take a peanut from the hand. I was quite surprised that the magazine never corrected the recipe in the following issues. Still makes me chuckle.
DeleteLovely card you made. And nicely done on finishing the hunt. I do miss participating in these, even though I often did them after the fact.
ReplyDeleteThanks Susanne. The SPSH was a fun one & I was glad Ruth hosted - it was a nice way to finish off blogging. :)
