SNAP - Colour Change

Linking in with the SNAP Community along with our hostess Helena at:  SNAP.

Have a peek at what everyone else has found as a two to four photo collection this week & then join in -  you know you want to.

This week my SNAP collection is of the neighbourhood maple trees in the process of changing colours.  Depending on the type of maple tree & how the light catches them, they are all at different stages of colour change.

I am looking forward to a Thanksgiving weekend drive out to see more of the local colour changes.

  1. interesting how much they vary in the proportion of leaves that have changed - all beautiful - enjoy your weekend drive and look forward to seeing pictures

  2. I just commented on Miriam's blog that we don't have much autumn color yet. We're off to Niagara-on-the-Lake next weekend, and I expect by then it may look more colorful.

  3. It is definitely starting here, too. I love the combination of colours, even the weeds at the roadside are colourful. -Jenn

  4. Autumn is lovely when it has the sun on it. Your second pic is very evocative with the house behind ... I spy pumpkins! We have had some lovely autumn days and I was thinking only yesterday how some trees are further along than others. Out of about 20 cherry trees I pass daily, one is bright red, the others all still green!

  5. That second image is delightful! Funny how a few of us have chosen an Autumnal theme this week.

  6. I like how different the same types of tree can be, there is a row near me that I like to see unfurl and then lose their leaves, all at slightly different times.

  8. Funny, I've just come from a blog which was talking about everything changing overnight. It looks as if you have a much more gradual change. Pretty!
