As promised, this is Mr Man's Dr Who door to the Tardis. He made everything himself except for the peel'n stick Police Public Call Box sign, which by the way, was really difficult to get on straight & level.
The door is actually to our cold/fruit cellar which is just off our home theatre room, in the basement. The door knob will one day be replaced by a dark blue one to blend/fade into the door. A door knob isn't part of the Tardis's door, but we have to have quick access to this little room as it also serves as our safe room during tornado watches & warnings in the summer months. And yes that's a snitch, caught from our first Quidditch game, sitting on one of the surround speakers!
That's brilliant ... love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Eileen. Mr Man is feeling quite proud & I'm very impressed with his handy work.
DeleteWhat fun! He's done a great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb. He's feeling very proud & inspired to do more in the room.
DeleteBrilliant! I love it! Does the fruit cellar feel bigger now?
ReplyDeleteThanks. You know I do think the fruit cellar is bigger, I've lost a few things in there! (lol).
DeleteNot sure what a snitch is as I don't play Quidditch.
ReplyDeleteQuidditch is a game from the Harry Potter books & the Univ of Guelph hosts a Quidditch match every year, although no one gets to actually fly, but there's brooms! It's a lot of fun.
DeleteHow marvellous - The Boy Child would love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ruth, it was fairly easy (I say as not the builder). Mr Man says he has increased his joy while watching Dr Who, knowing that the Tardis is right there (lol).
DeleteVery cool!!! He did a great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen. I'm just glad it wasn't the Star Wars Death Star, but now he's trying to figure out a way to make the sliding doors from Star Trek ... it never ends! (col).
DeleteWhat a fun door! The snitch is awesome, too! My daughter would like that!
ReplyDeleteThe university close to us has a lot of Harry Potter themed events, and as part time student I'm allowed to participate in any or all.
DeleteStunning! How very creative - and a lot of fun!
