Thank you all for the abundant well wishes. My eldest sister has had every test known to woman. We have a sister that has MS & the eldest sister was worried she was developing a late stage of the disease. She was also worried that her collapse was from diabetes, there is lots of this disease in our genetic make up. Still no word on what went wrong, just confirmation of what it is not. Towards the end of eldest sister needing help, sister with MS had a bad fall & broke her right wrist in multiple places, so now she is coping with a cast.
What is new coming from the patio? Abundance in garden production.

On some new things happening; I got my packages of the official Canadian developed tulip for Canada's 150th anniversary. Just need time to get them dug in. Already dreaming of the abundant red & white blooms in the spring.
New for Mr Man & me, was the eating at a new local food truck set up in the town next to ours & on one of the back & forth trips to eldest sister, we met & had lunch - not a very healthy lunch but tasty. I was pleasantly surprised, the food truck offered veggie burgers.

So on to the week of September 19th, may it be rich in joy & peace for everyone ... I leave you with my thought for the week:
Sometimes when things seem to be falling apart, they may actually be falling into place.
Wishing all your loved ones good health going forward!
ReplyDeleteThe tulips sound lovely. I have a few irises blooming in my front yard right now. :)
Oh what I wouldn't give for a return to spring, especially the flowers. Thanks for your kind wishes for a healthy family ... as I remind them healing at their age takes time.(lol).
DeleteIt sounds like you have been very busy.
ReplyDeleteLove the tulips. I don't know that I'll plant any this fall though as they get eaten or dug out by the squirrels!
Have a good beginning of the week!
I sprinkle blood bone meal around the tulips to keep the squirrels & chipmunks away, it works most of the time.
DeleteIt sounds as if you have a lot on your plate at the moment. My Mum has MS so I know what it's like to hear about another fall. You'd catch her every time if you could!
ReplyDeleteIt is one of the three "family" diseases that really scare me.W(me) get regular testing for diabetes, lupus & any signs of MS. My sister with MS absolutely hates to ask for help, but I think the disease is coming to a stage that she will need help.
DeleteSo much going on in your life - you must be emotionally shattered. Take good care of yourself whilst looking after the others.
ReplyDeleteI am glad to say that my nursing requirements have been dismissed. Now it is just the work stuff, which really shouldn't be mine to fret over but I care even when the owner doesn't.
DeleteRead about those tulips somewhere recently - they look great! Something to look forward to! And glad to hear that things are moving on eye-wise. Fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteWorrying times for the sisters (and you) but good that things are now stable enough for you to be relieved of duties, even if they aren't "there" yet. Gosh - it's all go at your work these days, isn't it?
I think it is one of the first truly developed Canadian tulip, my fingers are crossed that squirrels & a horrible winter do not nix my spring dreams. Sister relationships are difficult during healthy pain free times, this was a test of Biblical portions! Thankfully we all came through it unscathed!
DeleteHi! You took the time to visit my blog and leave a comment, so I came over to visit you! I'm sorry to hear about health problems with your sisters (I've not read back far enough to get the real gist of things, but I hope all is figured out for the positive). Those tulips will be nice and showy! -Jenn
ReplyDeleteHey Jenn always nice to "chat" with a fellow Canadian. I got quite a few head nods of agreement in your grocery list post ...
DeleteSorry to hear about all your family upsets. I hope they will soon be on the mend. I'm looking forward to some photos of those tulips...
ReplyDeleteThanks Maggie. I think they are both doing much better & since they live close together they can help each other. Oh I cannot wait for the tulips in the spring - but I must remember not to rush each season ...
DeleteThere certainly has been a lot to contend with recently. Your final quote tells me you are keeping a positive outlook---not easy to do with so many problems and decisions to make! Take care. The tulips look lovely; I'll be anxious to see them "IRL."
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen. I started the online Artist's Way course & started doing Morning Pages, which have been a great help to me. I get to spill out all that I am feeling, then be done with it for the day (or at least that is what I try for). This quote reminds me that I cannot control everything, every out come ...
DeleteHope things settle down at work and home soon. I love buying bulbs, planning where to put them and dreaming of the colours to see next spring.
ReplyDeleteGreat quote and a good reminder for me today.
Glad the quote helped. I collect quotes & poems because sometimes the perfect one in the right moment can bring such a new & fresh perspective. My bulks are all now planted & so far no signs of pesky squirrels ... hope it is a good day for you.
DeleteYour plate does seem full. Wishing your sister the best. Do take care of yourself as stress can have real health effects if you are not careful.
ReplyDeleteThank you Susanne for those kind thoughts. I often slide under stress as I am an emotional sort of person, but thankfully Mr Man keeps an eye on my rising stress levels & works out ways to distract me, often with a trip to a scrapping store :)
