If
an effort to notice more in my life, I have decided to share what I have
noticed this week in Take Three Thursday. The idea is to take 3 photos
that are linked some how; by theme, by
colour, by date, by moment, by points of view. There is no formal link
in but please feel free to join in. What have you noticed this
week?

This week I noticed by a fleeting drive by chance, reflections. I firmly believe now that what you need for reflection photos is mostly chance of a good water location, lighting, having any type of camera with you & the opportunity to pull over to take the photo.
This week on a mad dash for some personal & work errands as I was driving by the lake, I noticed the magnificent reflections in the lake on either side of the road. Ah, yes, I thought, on the way back. It certainly is where I am at at the moment - doing a lot of reflecting.

Wow..good choice. Those are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sian
DeleteMy goodness, what stunning photos
ReplyDeleteI love taking reflections photos but seldom manage. You got great light and still waters for these. Well spotted!
ReplyDeleteIt was an opportunity nearly missed - the whole thing got me to pause, notice, breathe
Deletefabulous reflections - I agree there is a lot of weather luck in finding reflections - I think spring and autumn are better than summer because of the angle of the sun
ReplyDeleteLuck was certainly at play for these.
DeleteI love photos of reflections, and the quote you chose is equally wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThank you Karen. If it wasn't so icy I might be tempted to go photograph the trees covered in ice.
DeleteYes I think you are right. Those are the elements of a good reflection and those are lovely. It is not something you can plan. You can choose a good location but you can't dictate the conditions.
ReplyDeleteDrove by the lake today & it seemed almost the same lighting & temperature but alas no reflections. Although I have spotted something else that could be a great threesome!
DeleteSuch beautiful views.
ReplyDeleteThe first photo reminds me of my view at our cottage...which I can't wait to get back to once the warmer weather comes :)
I would like to look out at the water everyday, but for us it's a walk to the river & a drive to the lake. Lucky you at the cottage with such a view.
DeleteBeautiful!!!
