Trusting: that a decision I've made is the right one as it impacts several other people. I'm such a waffler.
Grateful: that when I fell down the steps at work, nothing was broken or sprained, only damage done was my ego - oh so embarrassed.
Inspired: by the simple letter exchange it takes one scary word to a most powerful word; Chance becomes Change.
I love the last flower photo - do you know it's name please? Enjoy yourself with your niece, and hope your ego has recovered from the tumble - good to hear there was no serious damage done.
ReplyDeleteThe last flower is a shrub called Rose of Sharon. It takes kindly to trimming so you can keep in check. It will grow quite large in height & width. Many many shades & combos. I have a baby mauve with red centre coming along quite nicely.
DeleteAh now that's interesting. I know rose of Sharon as a type of yellow hypericum. I wonder if they are related... Glad you're ok, maybe try a little less gin on your cornflakes next time? At least on a weekday 😉
DeleteLady Ella ... I think I would have done better if I had, had something to sip upon (wink wink). I need to look up the yellow hypericum. Locally Rose of Sharon & perennial Hibiscus often get confused. I've tried Hibiscus - no luck for me on this one.
DeleteThe flowers are something I'm always grateful for :) and you got good photos. I'm glad you weren't injured in your fall. It is embarrassing, though, and I'm glad when no one's around when I have a mishap lol
ReplyDeleteAh thanks, sometimes I think my garden is like my babies. As to my fall, I can manage to fall on flat surfaces, I have a knack for embarrassing myself with some non dancing like moves that involve arms & legs flailing about!!
DeleteTracy loves the Rose of Sharon. I like it, but it grows too tall for anywhere I need a new plant. By the time you are my age, the very first question at the doctor's office is "Have you fallen?" "Do you feel at risk for falling?" I hesitate to think what they might say if I had fallen! Glad nothing was hurt besides your ego!
ReplyDeleteMy FiL use to have a Rose of Sharon that was probably 10-12 feet tall. The best examples I've seen at around NOTL, we trim ours to maintain 4-5 feet. Thankfully I didn't need the doctors but if I have fallen & needed the doctor I always get asked similar questions because one of my sisters has MS, so my doctor is cautious - thankfully it is not, just me in a rush.
DeleteOuch! Sorry to hear about your fall but pleased to hear that only your ego was injured. Something like that really shakes you up doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteYour first statement is intriguing, I wonder what you are planning?
it's hind sight that always gets me on these types of mishaps, less haste is the lesson. I shall reveal all soon :) - it's nothing wild & woolly.
DeleteI'm sorry to hear about your fall, but glad only your pride was bruised.
ReplyDeleteMy boss suggested, I keep myself to the 1st floor of the clinic (kidding, I think).
