Winter Photo Scavenger Hunt - Second Round of Entries
Joining in with Eileen & Joy's Winter Photo Scavenger Hunt. You can add yours and/or see what the other participants are finding on this fun adventure. Check things out here: http://in-my-playroom.blogspot.co.uk/ My second batch of entries are:
So very little of the kind of snow you need for building snowmen. That requires a bit of moisture in the snow to pack & roll. Even the dry fluffy snow has been absent this winter (so far, let's not tempt it).
Now I want to check out Canadian snow. The snow on Hokkaido is the driest and prettiest I have ever seen - a real pleasure to walk in and on. (And it still compacts well for sculpting too.)
The star was part of a community display & I think it was created by the committee, using a wood star form & stapling the tinsel to it. I saw it last week, it's looking very sad now.
Karen I had thought of using this star for star or tinsel but even outdoor lighting as it does light up at night. In the end it was the best example of star that I had found. You would think star would be easy.
I love the colours on the fountain, and the road sign is so different from the ones I'm used to seeing - and such a fun way to capture the 'arrow' The snowmen are rather cute too. Well done Mary-Lou
Love the fountain!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've seen the fountain running in the better weather, it's on the list to check out this summer.
DeleteWhat fund choices - love them all.
ReplyDeleteThanks JoAnn, it's a fun activity to hunt down the items on the list.
DeleteBrilliant snowmen! I'm amused you have fake snowmen even in an abundance of snow!

DeleteOh I love the snowmen
ReplyDeleteThis year it's all about the fake snowmen which have been really nice. There's something normal about wood snowmen.
DeleteThose snowmen are great and so funny when you are surrounded by snow and we have none!
ReplyDeleteAs I've said to Lady Ella - this year it's all about the fake snowmen - very little snow & very little of the rolling/packing kind to make snowmen.
DeleteI like the star. It has a lovely old "bought from Woolworths " feel about it

DeleteThat star could be an entry for tinsel or star!

DeleteThese are great captures I really love the the snowmen! Well done
ReplyDeleteThanks Miriam. I am just hoping that these snowmen don't get use for the weenier roast in the summer.
DeleteGreat snaps, love Woody and his two pals.
