This week I have been working on putting together a few scrap kits I had bought ages ago. One kit was specific for January & the instructions were not as clear as this lady needs & unfortunately the shop I bought it at has closed up, so I cannot call for clarity or help. I do not think I am going to have the same results as the kit intended, but that's OK, I am having fun creating with such pretty papers & embellishments. These pages are destined for use in my garden album.
The kit came with several pre-cut (beautiful) snowflakes, several are in foil in both teal blue & silver along with the teal blue paper ones. I have to keep counting as one of the fur girls keeps taking them off my desk!
Hope everyone has a happy crafting week ... "it's not enough to know your craft, you have to have feeling. Science is all very well, but for us, imagination is worth far more." E. Manet

Teal is one of my favourite colours. Your page foundations are shaping up so nicely, just ready for your photos. I've never worked this way, but I can really see the advantages ...
ReplyDeleteTeal -one of my favorite colors! Goes so well with silver - perfect for January! Have fun with your kit! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #39

I've seen some snowflakes just like those! (And I forgot to say, I liked your little punched horse too)
ReplyDeleteWell I think your layout is just beautiful. You don't need no stinkin instructions! LOL

I love teal.. one of my favourite colours.. I am glad you are enjoying the kit even if the instructions were poor. I am always terrible at going off piste with kits.. I like things my own way haha.
ReplyDeleteI hope there isn't too much fur on your snowflakes.. my furbabies love stealing things too.. or leaving them covered in little furry messes so that the people I send them to know they signed the cards too hehe
Have a great week,
Erika (#33 not9 lol)
The colors of the kit are beautiful. You'll do fine putting it all together. :) Dorlene #44
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful colours and papers.
ReplyDeleteI love to venture off the creative pattern as the project then becomes your own :)
I find many times the instructions get in the way of our own creativity. This looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love Teal. Hi from WOYWW! Sez x #51
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you will come up with a lovely result. It'll be more like "you" without the instructions :)
ReplyDeleteHi Mary-Lou, Love the colours of the album.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog.
Happy WOYWW

It looks fabulous! And really having FUN is the important thing - the directions are secondary. :)
ReplyDeleteDoesn't that photo look just gorgeous. All those pieces in just the two colours. Have fun using them all. I confess that if I have a kit I never make what they intend.... oops!
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.
