Me On A Monday - February 12th

Greetings to all & a big wave hello.  Thank you for all the well wishes.

Wellness, it's my latest Focus along with my Angel card of Release & Surrender. This mutant cold has really taken a lot out of me & I cannot believe I have not shaken it as yet.  I did go to work last week but each shift took a lot out of me & I was in bed each night by 8:00pm.

There has been a lot of these used;
I have drank a lot of this:

On February 2nd our local groundhog, Wiarton Willie predicted 6 more weeks of winter!  Mr Man has used these quite a lot since February 2nd:
our snow blower

one of our snow shovels

We have seen this vehicle a lot over the last 10 days.  The snow plow photo is also for the WPSH - Men At Work:

I am preparing for Lent with the kick off on Tuesday of pancakes for dinner.  I can only imagine for many the dilemeia of giving up chocolate for Lent, but what to do with Valentine's chocolate?

  1. Love that quote! Sorry to hear that those pesky germs are refusing to shift, not to mention the fact you have 6 more weeks of winter to go ;-)
I need to google some egg free pancake recipes so that our egg-allergic grandson can join in with Shrove Tuesday traditions.

    1. Now that would be a challenge to make egg free pancakes! I am focusing on the fact February is a short month, and usually March brings about a change in sounds of the birds signalling spring is just around the corner (oh please let it me so).

  2. What a lovely teapot and cup to help comfort you as you recover. We never have enough snow to warrant having snow shovels, but I'm ready for warmer weather. Pancakes are the perfect food for Shrove Tuesday. My husband usually makes them for us. So good :) Get well soon!

    1. That is a favourite teacup & I swear tea always tastes better out of it. I think I have some summer blueberries in the freezer which I will thaw to add to my pancakes.

  3. Pancakes here on Tuesday as well (gosh, that's tomorrow ...)! Glad to hear you are feeling better, but it does seem that there are some nasty viruses around. Take care!

  4. I'm planning a carboload of pancakes tomorrow too! Surprised to read of you doing that - my Canadian friends (Toronto and Vancouver) had no idea what I was on about when I mentioned Shrive Tuesday/pancake day!
Glad you are getting better, even if it is a slow process. Six weeks on I am still coughing - but at least I don't have to shovel snow!

    1. Shrove Tuesday/Pancake Tuesday is everywhere so I am most surprised that your friends in Vancouver & Toronto were unaware ... all the local clubs have fund raiser dinners planned, it is even on the national news with recipes to make the fluffiest pancakes.

    1. Thanks Melissa. I'm almost all better, still a bit of a runny nose in the morning & a little tickle of a cough when the sun goes down.

  6. Sorry to hear the bug is lingering. The one I had lingered for 6 weeks. I felt washed out and exhausted all the time. Finally it has gone.

    1. It's only a slight cough now, which comes on as the sun is going down.

I know I had that cold and it knocked me down and out.

    1. I just wish people would stay home when they are sick instead of going about spreading this virus! Glad to hear you are feeling better.
