Me On A Monday - October 29th

It snowed yesterday - too soon!

We went to see Man of La Mancha  at a new to us theatre.  It is not in the city of Hamilton.  This theatre & this musical are part of the Drayton Theatre group.

The seats were comfortable, the slant in the floor allowed everyone to have a good seat & it was cozy enough to feel personal.

Such talent assembled on stage - powerful singing voices.

  1. It is definitely too soon for snow! Is the theatre quite close to you? I'm lucky enough to live fairly close to seven good theatres/concert venues, all within an hours drive from home.

    1. This theatre was about a 45 minute drive. There is about 7 theatres in the Drayton Group & this one is the closest. One of the others in this group is about an hour away. We also have a theatre not part of Drayton which we see a lot of concerts at. Already have our Christmas treat tickets purchased for a returning favourite concert in December. I must say it is not the distance that holds us back but the expense - tickets are VERY costly. The snow is gone again - for now (col).

  3. I haven't been to the Drayton theatre, but would like to go. It looks like your snow stayed. Thankfully, what I drove through yesterday melted on contact. -Jenn

    1. I think there's some Drayton theatres near you. Some of their comedy farces are amusing. My friend takes her daughter to all the Christmas pantos & they get high marks.

  4. Snow! Oh my goodness that is early - but pleased to hear that it didn't stick around for long.

    1. Today (Tuesday) it's heavy frost but at least not an addition to snow! I know it's coming but I cannot wrap myself up enough - I don't like the cold!

    1. Our snow is gone for now. Snow with the leaves still on the trees is not the norm, even for us (col).

  6. October snow is a rarity here, almost unheard of! Pretty :)

That's a fun show to see live.

    1. October can be quite fickle about her weather. It was a good show, Mr Man's favourite. I'm trying to talk him into seeing the ballet version in November.

    1. We can get all 4 seasons in one day - late October into November is such a transition time ...

  8. I was at the St. Jacob's Theatre a couple of times this year. I think it's also part of the Drayton Group. The shows were excellent!

    1. Yes St Jacob's is - there's also the Schoolhouse in St Jacob's that is part of the group. The quality of performances & talent is fantastic, we are fortunate to have so close.

    1. We had an afternoon hail snow shower a few days ago. October is not being typical & it makes me dread to think of what November through to March will be like. I think the word I'm looking for is YIKES!

  10. SNOW??? And I've been complaining about the endless cold rain. I'll stop now. We've seen some hail, but fortunately, not snow. I saw Man of La Mancha in Greenwich Village in the 60's. I've never forgotten it.

    1. Today it is heavy rains & some thunder heard, all signs of snow are gone for now. It is suppose to clear by the time the little ones (& that not so little ones) go trick or treating tonight.
