In my wander about blog land I found a site that hosts a monthly photo hunt list. I missed the time frame to link in for September, but I think I will definitely give October a try. As of this moment the October list had not been posted, once it is I'll share here along with the link. From what I've read, the idea is you post a photo to match the list & write what the photo means to you & why you decided to use that photo. I did not see any indication that the photo has to be a current photo.
This would have been my September contribution: Brightly Coloured; Upside Down; Ink; Pattern; Bag; Your Choice
Brightly Coloured: this is a pot of pink Inpatients with yellow & pink Begonias sitting just off the patio. Of all the pots this year, this is the one that seem to flourish the best. I know I have maybe 1-2 weeks left to enjoy as the frosty nights & days are well on their way.
This photo was taken on a warm summer's day at a park that was once kept in pristine condition, now it is over run, over grown & everything is rundown. There was a stone bridge that brides once insisted on their wedding party have their photo taken on - now there's only rumble left.
With my new found interest in stamping, getting these ink pads at 50% off makes it a more economical adventure. I still fear the commitment stamping requires, but with practise I'll get there.
These patterns of chain link fence on a board fence was too much not to take notice of. I think these home owners are giving a very clear message of keep out, keep off.
This bag (purse) was a gift & is actually made from a horse feed bag - a perfect gift of reuse, reduce; it's bag of bag.
My choice is always to sit on the our patio; first tea in the morning, last tea of the evening, it's my place of refuge, my place of solitude & comfort. Always my choice to be.
Oh that patio looks so inviting. I can understand why it found its way onto your blog name! The photo challenge sounds interesting, looking forward to hearing more about it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb. Of course now that I have found, she's late getting the next list up.
DeleteIsn't is great when you come across something like this idea when down the Internet rabbit hole! I agree with Debs about how welcoming your patio looks.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear I'm not the only one getting lost in blog land. My patio is my sanctuary which I could have used after today's awful day at work but alas it was raining rather hard.
DeleteYour patio is so inviting, no wonder you love to spend time there. The overgrown park is still very lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe park has two really large ponds, almost lake size, in the middle & it gets all kinds of wildlife. What surprises some of the newer visitors is that this is just outside a now vacant prison!
DeleteI wouldn't mind sitting on your patio this morning. Sounds like an interesting photo challenge.
ReplyDeleteI have been going through her posts to decide if I want to join in & where it could take me on these monthly hunts.
DeleteWhat a great list & your photos are perfect! I'd definitely enjoy time on that patio, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Melissa. I just have to get myself organized & post the October list.
DeleteEvery time I see pictures of your patio, I think it looks so lovely! It looks like it should be featured in a magazine. :)
