Love has four letters, so does hate
Friends has seven letters, so does enemies
Truth has five letters, so does lying
Positive has eight letters, so does negative
Above has five letters, so does under
Joy has three letters, so does cry
Happy has five letters, so does anger
Heal has four letters, so does hurt
Right has five letters, so does wrong
What does this all mean? It means life has a double edged sword & we can choose which side of the sword we want to use.

Note: this quote actually starts with the negative side of all these words, but I decided to begin with the positive.
This one is amazing!
ReplyDeleteGood for you to begin with the positive!
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever quote. I like your reasoning behind swiping the first and last word of each line.
ReplyDeleteInteresting perspective.
ReplyDeleteSomething to think about.
ReplyDeleteI like how you chose to begin with the positive. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to whomever figured this out and to you for changing to order.
ReplyDeleteI'm more familiar with the original format, changing a negative to a positive, but it still work the way you've chosen to write it. It's a thoughtful piece whichever way it's written.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful poem with wisdom
ReplyDeleteYes, our choices always, always define us, don't they.
