SNAP - Potted

To join in with Helena's Snap or to see what others have snapped this week, please visit here: SNAP

This week my SNAP collection are local corporate flower pots outside of the main street's businesses.  There have been a number of complaints recently by the local businesses that someone is stealing plants from the planter or totally destroying.  So far this season there seems to be fewer local shops with outside floral displays.  I think it is sad.  But here's a few of the folks that are:

 The Lawyer's Office

The Real Estate Office

The Bakery

 Sacred Heart (RC) Church

Thanks for cheering up the streets of our little village.

  1. Aren't they all bright and cheerful ... how awful that someone might be stealing them.

  2. Lovely---I always stop to look at the flowering pots, seeing what combinations folks use.

  3. I'm trying to think whether it's common here for individual businesses to have planters outside. I think generally less so - although there are lots of civic planters. You certainly picked some cheery examples (lots of red and white!) and it makes my blood boil to think anyone would vandalise them. (Same thing happening in Japan lately!)

  4. Oh how sad that someone feels it's their right to take what gives others so much pleasure

  5. That is sad that someone would actually steal flowers...but I have heard of it happening here in peoples flower beds....crazy.
I think it brightens the shops up and gives a welcoming feel to the town.

  6. They are lovely. Someone stole a planter from outside our little house when we were first married. It seemed like such a mean spirited thing to do.

  8. Just had a catch-up on your blog. Congrats on your one year anniversary! And you have nothing to worry about in the photography department - your snaps are fantastic! Love the chipmunk pics even if they are being naughty little critters.

  9. Lovely flowers and such bright colours. It's such a shame that some people think it's OK to steal them.

  11. They do look lovely. How rotten some people are. I did notice a shop in Bristol putting theirs out from inside. I guess they take them in for safekeeping.

  12. These are really lovely. I like the solicitors, all very neat and the real estates, very blousy and showy. Then the church, very formal and the bakery all over the place! must be the flour. A really great set for snap.
