From The Internet - Not Mine |
My current bag/purse contains: a burgundy wallet; a ripped cheque book, although rarely used; a zippered bag that contains = lippy X 2, aspirins and Tylenol, nail clipper, moist wipes and tissues; a mini calendar diary; a mini note pad; 4 pens; keys to my friend's house; my car keys, my house & clinic keys; a loose change zip pouch, which gets quite heavy with loonies and toonies (Canadian $1 & $2 coins); a Nikon pocket point and shoot camera, my cell phone.
I change my purse from light to dark on the Summer and Autumn arrival dates. I am not bothered about brand names for purses and I would never spend a lot of money on a purse. I have about 7 purses in my closet, 6 of which were gifts, 4 are clutches and have to be hand carried. I do prefer a long strap so that I can sling over my shoulder. I do like the backpack style but beside of a wing injury, it hurts to carry on my back.
This is my current bag - I am thinking it is too big to ever be a repeat. This Autumn's switch over will definetly be smaller and more of a purse in size. My aching shoulders will thank me.
I like a bag with a shoulder strap, although sometimes use the backpack type. I don't carry much with me - camera, phone, comb, cash, keys, medicine and my latest book.
ReplyDeleteNow that you mention it, I should carry a comb! My hair gets quite wild so maybe that would be a good addition.
DeleteAmen for shoulder bags! Nice ones seem so hard to find these days. Rucksack-style great, but I've had stuff stolen so...
ReplyDeleteI did enjoy poking my nose into your bag - you seem very well prepared. I too believe in having everything I need to hand, though my bag's not quite as big as yours, and I'm forever having to remember to take my penknife out before I fly etc. (One point of interest - no umbrella! My little umbrella comes everywhere with me - but then I guess that's English weather!)
That is awful that someone stole from your rucksack purse. Penknife, now that is an interesting item to carry about. I do have an umbrella in the car at all times.
DeleteNever used the actual blade, but the tweezers, the toothpick, the scissors, the bottle-opener!
DeleteI'm another one who fills a bag too full. Maybe buying smaller bags is the answer..
ReplyDeleteHa Ha - yes that is my goal this Sept 22nd a smaller bag and I think I will leave out the cell phone - no one calls me anyway!
