    1. Thanks Eileen. Although not without faults, I think it's a great place to live.

  2. Happy Canada Day! Do you have any special plans for your day?

    1. Thank you. Our special plans include being dressed in red & white, feasting on all things Canadian. Trying to sing our national anthem, they keep changing the words! Our little village doesn't do fireworks for July 1st but the little village next to us does, so our plan is to go watch later, unless that thunder storm rolls in & cancels everything.

  3. Hoping your day of national celebration is a proud and happy one. You have a long tradition of being a welcoming nation :).

    1. We can be welcoming ... lately there's a little grumble going on, but overall, it's an open & kind country. I am a very proud Canadian. We were just named the #1 place to live & that certainly has us all feeling very proud.

  4. Happy Canada Day! Canada is still on my must visit list ... I don't think walking across the border at Niagara really counts, do you?!

    1. I agree, you must visit Canada, it's a beautiful country from coast to coast & each region is SO different. I would count that walk across (col). Niagara Falls is quite spectacular.

  5. Happy Canada Day! My hubby and son get there nearly every year for a fishing trip at Sabourin Lake Lodge in Ontario. We keep meaning to plan a family vacation, just haven't gotten around to it.

    1. That lodge is quite far up in Northern Ontario. Some of Mr Man's family is from the Red Lake, Kenora area. Beautiful country up there & true extreme temperatures from +40 in the summer to -40 in the winter.
