Falls Street Near Conservation Park
Well it has been a week & weekend.  Medication is a wonderful thing when appropriately used; kidney/bladder infection cleared (oh so thankful); when I mentioned at the barn, one woman said she gets bladder infections at least 6-7 times a year, even a chill to the back causes them!!! the horror at that thought / pleased that our baseball team, The Toronto Blue Jays,  did well - not impressed by some of the bad behaviour by fans at the series final game between The Texas Rangers & Blue Jays; other than F1 racing, not big sports watching fans, but the last two baseball games of that series had us on the edge of our seats  / Mr Man & I had 4 days after Thanksgiving Monday off as vacation / lots of little odd jobs done around the yard & house, with another trip made to the household recycle centre to be rid of stuff / the patio was put away until next year - this makes me so sad / bought Halloween candy for the little darlings that come a calling - I buy stuff I don't like so as not to be tempted /  struggling with reading Sophie's World, pushing on, I'm told it is worth it / my riding friend that was thrown, I spoke with her late last week - thankfully much improved; still no memory of the accident / a trip & a spend at two of the scrapping stores; I do need to find my scrapping sweet spot to unload this ever growing stash & start creating pages but first I need to stop the thief of comparison & keep my eyes on my own paper & scrap / our federal election today - do we get the leader we want or the leader that we need? /  heavy frost 2 nights in a row have the leaves falling like rain & all the annual flowers done - I am not ready in spirit or mind, only the clothes readiness for winter is complete / feeling like we dogged a bullet because a city north of us by an hour, received wet snow accumulation!!!!  It's coming - oh the horror! /  I will be making an service date to get snow tires on my car / another work week starts - let the games begin!

  1. So glad you're feeling better now. I've only suffered in that department once and it was pretty miserable from what I recall. It was obviously the weekend for "edge of our seat" sports matches. Have a great week.

  2. I'm delighted that you are feeling better. What a great way to start the week. I can see why the notion of winter takes more getting used to than it does here when it involves getting different tyres on the car! I'm quietly looking forward to some cosy nights in.

Have a good week Mary Lou

  3. Oh you have my sympathy. I had six months of recurrent problems in that department and you can't really explain just how low it makes you feel can you? I do hope you're finally clear and manage to stay that way! A friend of mine who worked in a hospital told me that unless they treat it with exactly the right antibiotic - and there are many different types of infection so it can take a while to find what the right one is - it will improve but not go completely so it feels like you've got it 'again' but in fact it's the same germ! Make sure they keep testing samples until it is gone 100%!
Oh boy, your winters must be so much harder than ours. We do not cope well with snow!
Good news on your friend - wishing her a full recovery.

  4. Glad to hear that both you AND your friend are on the mend. My sister used to suffer with cystitis regularly until a nurse told her to remain on the loo and 'try to squeeze a little more out'. She has only had the odd infection in years now, rather than every few weeks/months.
Good idea on the Halloween treat front - there aren't many sweets I won't eat though! Have a good week x

  5. Gosh! Snow already!! We don't tend to get snow here on the south coast of England unless it's a really bad winter. So we can't deal with it and everything grinds to a halt! Glad you are feeling better and that the medication has worked it's magic. YAY! for your team winning!

  6. I hope the snow holds off a bit longer for you. I can't leave the house once it snows as I am so terrified of falling and making my mobility even worse,so I could never live anywhere that has substantial snow - no matter how pretty it looks. We don't usually have any trick and treaters calling here - certainly hasn't caught on in our neighbourhood so I have no excuse to stock up with goodies. I am away on a crafty retreat for Halloween and lots of the ladies dress up so I am busy putting my outfit together - I love a bit of fancy dress. Have a good week x

  7. Glad to hear you're better, hope it stays gone. Ah yes tires - need to get that scheduled for my car, his stays in the garage for the winter. Interested as to where your scrapping stores are. All the ones near me have closed down and I'm left with Michaels basically forcing me to go digital. Have a great week and Go Jays!

  9. Snow! I don't envy you. I like to look at it from indoors where I'm all nice and warm but avoid going out in it if I possibly can ... although a couple of photo trips are always necessary!!

I love your photo of the avenue of trees. It invites you to walk along to see where it leads.

  10. I am pleased you and your friend are recovered. The thought of snow and winter is not good!

  11. Nice photo!
I love love love walking in and looking at new snow. Don't like it when it has ice underneath, especially if I have to drive somewhere! Don't really trust myself, never mind the boy/girl racers who think they can just carry on as normal!

  12. Oh glad your infection has cleared up - what would we do without antibiotics. Days of catching up on little tasks has been our lot too - trips to the recycle place and donation drop-offs have cleared a little more room around here. That's always a good thing. See you next Monday, which is awfully soon given my late rounds this week. Have a good weekend.
