Technology Is Not Being Friendly

Not sure what is going on with my blog - I'm unable to reply to comments on my blog & I cannot post comments on other blogs.

Technology is not being very friendly.

  * after much help from Mr Man & some blue smoke all seems to have returned - I'll now play catch up ...

  1. Commiserations, Mary-Lou. I wish I could suggest a solution but I'm afraid I have no idea. Hope it rights itself soon. We'll be right here waiting when you come back. ♡
On that subject, I got my first "gmail sign-up" nonsense comment today. I have marked it as spam and hope the good folk of Google get the message and sort it out!

    1. Thanks Lady Ella. Got things righted for now, although I'm afraid of what night time shutting down will mean in the morning. I also mark gmail sign up as spam - it is most annoying.

  3. I had that happen for a while, but was fine when I used a different computer. Then, after a while, I was able to do it. I think it had to do with what search engine I was opening blogger in. I have no idea if that will help or not... -Jenn

    1. I think it's righted for now. I'm not happy about having to moderate comments to cut down on the spam comments, but such is the social media world. I wonder if it's automatic upgrades that Google does.

    2. You can still mark comments as spam after they have been published (in case the moderating is too much of a pain). Anyway, glad you're back!

    1. I find technology so frustrating. We use Chrome to run our "cloud" programs at work & there's all kinds of problems with that at times. Hopefully you get yours sorted out soon. Me, my fingers are crossed as I don't trust technology.

  5. Last week I couldn't open my own blog on any of my three browsers! I knew others could because I still got comments. Tracy worked on it for quite awhile, and finally I contacted Typepad who had changed some setting so that my address no longer included a www. It was so frustrating. Know this story doesn't help you any, but know you are not alone in technology woes!

    1. Karen it does help explain why I was having troubles directly connecting with your blog, I had to get there through the listing on others blogs. I am really at a lost for all these "no reason known" problems with blogs of late. I had some success yesterday but then again other problems. I try to understand BUT this is all too much ...

  6. I'm glad to read that this situation is righted now. For me it's frustrating to have these problems and never know what caused them. Gremlins? Ploglies? *sigh*

The spam comments are strange. I get them on posts that are 7 years old, have no other comments, and have been viewed by about 4 people lol What do they hope to accomplish? lol

  7. It's so frustrating, isn't it?! I've just switched from Microsoft Edge back to Google Chrome in the hope of solving some glitches.

    1. We use Chrome at work & most of the time there is no problems. Oh dear maybe I've just cursed myself on that front - in count down days to leaving.
